Advantages and challenges of Home Care in the Unified Health System Thalita Garcia de Oliveira

Abstract

Home care is a kind of home care that relies on the service of a multidisciplinary team so that the treatment takes place in the comfort and warmth of the home, bringing numerous benefits to the patient and reducing the recovery time in many cases. In Brazil, treatment has been implemented for many decades and it is still a challenge for it to be widely and properly implemented by the Unified Health System, despite the cost-benefit that the treatment may bring.
