Abstract

Esophageal achalasia, which is rare in children and adolescents, is characterized by esophageal aperistaltism and inadequate lower esophageal sphincter relaxation. The main symptoms are regurgitation, vomiting, dysphagia and weight loss. The gold standard for diagnosis is esophageal manometry. There are several therapeutic techniques indicated for treatment from the teast invasive to surgical ones. This research aims to present the different types of treatment for idiophatic megaesophagus in pedatrics.
