The Right to health and access to Medicines in the Strategic Component in SUS Renata Favoni Biudes, Amélia Cohn

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate how access to medicines in the Strategic Component in Sus is given from the perspective of the system users' right to health, highlighting the main programs that make up this Component, which consists of the guarantee by the State of the defined medicines meeting specific programs. The methodology used is the descriptive and quantitative exploratory bibliography. The results and discussion show that the Strategic Component has a lower rate of judicialization in relation to the other Components with regard to Pharmaceutical Assistance according to specific data from the Health Department of the State of São Paulo.
