Abstract

Prenatal care is of great importance, as it is determinant for maternal and child health. Thus, the objective was to analyze the prenatal care offered to pregnant women attended at the São Luiz hospital, in Cáceres - MT, from January to May 2020, according to Takeda (1993). Data were obtained from the medical records of pregnant women present in the hospital system. The data were analyzed qualitatively, using gestational history and socioeconomic data. It was observed that 63.8% of pregnant women had adequate prenatal care, that is, they were followed up correctly. Therefore, the adequacy index was positive, however, measures can be instituted to guarantee a quality prenatal care for all pregnant women.
