This study aims to prove that early diagnosis and adequate nutritional therapy can prevent malnutrition. Systematized bibliographic research was used on the Pubmed platform, involving 30 researches. It was concluded that nutritional therapy, according to nutrition guidelines, and some strategic nutrients collaborate with the improvement of the patient's nutritional status, cooperating with their rehabilitation and quality of life.
