Abstract

Preliminary task risk analysis is essential in anticipating accidents during handling of cohesive granular products in storage units. The objective of the present work was to apply the thermographic method in the qualitative risk analysis during the dismantling of a pile of Soybean Meal in a Port Terminal. The application of the thermography technique proved to be applicable and the results obtained can guide the development of safety procedures and be added as an additional measure to anticipate accidents.
