Abstract

Risk Matrix (RM) is a process safety technique widely used in the industry. Qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative methods can be used in the construction of a RM. This work presented the construction of a 5x5 paraconsistent matrix (PRM) considering Severity (S) and Frequency (F). A Hasse diagram was established for PRM,where it found intervals of Gc < -0.5 for region of tolerable risk (T), -0.25< Gc ≤0 for region of moderate risk (M) and Gc ≥0.25 for region No Tolerable (NT). The PRM proved to be satisfactory for the development of specialist risk analysis systems.
