Abstract
Despite environmental education being a mandatory national component and contributing to the formation of behavior towards the environment, there are difficulties in implementation in schools. The objective of the study was to present the Little Ranger Park program as a tool for environmental education in schools. Teachers from the public school system in the Viana city received continuous training and material to carry out activities with the students, who also received environment activities booklets. Although the program has recently been incorporated into the pedagogical content of Viana, there is a significant number of beneficiaries. The program encourages individuals to become a little park ranger, teaching them how to preserve natural resources through contact with nature.
