Abstract

The present article proposes to analyze the closed season for the seven-bearded shrimp (Xiphopenaeus kroyeri) as a way of preserving the species. In this context, the study was carried out through descriptive research with a method of document and bibliographic analysis carried out from the SAP/MAPA Ordinance n. 656/22. The results show that only from the year 2023, when the new closed season for the seven-barb shrimp species is implemented, will it be possible to assess the feasibility of changing the closed season as a way of preserving that species.
