Abstract
This work sought to analyze the current mental health policy promoted by the Psychosocial Assistance Network in the Unified Health System (SUS), arising from the psychiatric reform promoted by law 10.216/01 and the new movement that goes against the rights conquered by those affected by the disorder. mental health, called psychiatric counter-reform, promoted by the federal executive that seeks to return the funding of psychiatric hospitals, therapeutic communities and the use of questionable treatments, which aim at the return of psychiatric hospitalization as a health policy and social control, especially for users of drugs. Exploratory research and literature review and legislation were used.
