Abstract

Packaging has different functions and benefits, such as: storing, protecting, transporting and attracting customers. Consequently, today's wrapper market offers a multitude of items ranging from primary to fourth-tier packaging. The objective of this article was to focus on the knowledge of the types and benefits of packaging in the perception of logistics professionals. An exploratory study of qualitative character was used, adopting as a method, a bibliographic and field research, using books, articles and websites as theoretical support. The results showed that most respondents know the most common types of packaging and their benefits for logistics processes.
