A survey of the Aquatic Macroinvertebrates fauna in Atlantic Forest stream in Serra do Mar, Praia Grande, SP Thiago Loureiro Modesto, Ursulla Pereira Souza

Abstract

The fauna of aquatic macroinvertebrates in the Guariúma creek, located in the Serra do Mar State Park, Guariúma base, municipality of Praia Grande, was inventoried. Collections took place in the dry season (July to September 2022) along a 300 m path along the stream, covering meso and microhabitats for greater community richness. 2849 organisms were collected, distributed in 81 taxonomic groups. The survey will be sent to the Park administration so that they can include the data in the Management Plan, with the possibility of also using it as a subsidy for future research on aquatic fauna and environmental health of the waters, environmental education, etc.
