Abstract
This study analyzes Brazil's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, as assumed before international conferences on climate change, based on the impact of deforestation in the Amazon on child health, a topic that is part of SDG 3 of the 2030 agenda of the UN. It has been demonstrated that the deforestation of the Amazon does not comply with the climate goals assumed by Brazil, as well as the harmful effects on children's health. The survey revealed that compliance with SDG 3, focusing on air pollution, does not preclude the use of ESG if Brazil intends to maintain global warming within 1.5ºC, as ratified at COP26.
