Abstract
This work aims to present the importance of sustainable architectural projects for the hotel development market, which during the pandemic of the new coronavirus, covid-19, had their activities suspended, becoming susceptible to high losses, throughout Brazil. It was found during the pandemic that some hotel developments were not in compliance with the minimum of sustainable practices and environmental comforts, which caused an increase in fixed and variable expenses in relation to the highly restricted number of guests, reflecting in the decrease in revenue, layoffs, and cuts in their budgets. The result was proof of the need for architectural hotel developments to comply with ecologically sustainable well-being projects.
