Abstract

 The guidelines and implementation of health measures depend on the prior collection of data that form indicators capable of recognizing a population's state of health. In order to analyze the importance of these indicators and how they can be identified, PAHO health indicators were compared with the SDG3 indicators. The study was carried out using a descriptive and comparative literature review. It was found that the indicators are similar, with nuances in scope and different approaches, showing that an integrative approach between their functions is essential.
