Abstract
The present study intends to raise the current climate guidelines of the European Union (EU), going from its most recent history to the most current instrument available, the European Ecological Pact. The study, thus, addresses the complexity of the European Union's work to monitor the international regime of climate change, and also the current contextualized climate changes, which evolve every second. The central objective is to analyze whether the policies and guidelines set out by the EU are coeval and effective. Therefore, in carrying out this research, the deductive method with bibliographical research technique is used. The main result is the linear evolution of the European policy to control climate change in conjunction with those that happened factually throughout history. Thus, it is undoubted that the European Union has accompanied the evolution of climate change, adapting to the new realities and creating mechanisms capable of mitigating the effects of these.
