Abstract

This article aims to analyze and highlight the social disparities in the Brazilian labor market, focusing on the racial dimension. The present study will use official statistics to demonstrate the significant wage disparities, job positions, and types of occupations between black and mixed-race Brazilian workers, as compared to white workers. Lastly, based on official data and statistics regarding compensation, job positions, roles, and types of work (both formal and informal), an analysis of racial inequality in the Brazilian labor market will be conducted.
