Abstract

There is a natural increase in social concern surrounding women's health, in its various facets, amidst the enhancement of public policies in the field. A political, social, and economic perspective on this issue is extremely relevant to ensure the effectiveness of the mentioned public policies, particularly due to issues related to the competence of the federative entities. Therefore, this study aimed to establish an analysis of governance instruments in the implementation of public policies, nationally and specifically concerning the municipalities of São José do Rio Preto, Embu das Artes, and Jacareí. In this sense, it is important to visualize the measures adopted at the national level and their regional applicability to assess the real interaction between the federative entities, as well as the effectiveness of such guidelines.
