Main Article Content
Abstract
Lead is a toxic metal for fish, but knowledge about its effects is still fragmented. This study aims to identify the main biological responses and the dominant target organ in fish exposed to lead via water. The research showed that lead exposure causes bioaccumulation, severe biochemical alterations, and, in some cases, the death of the fish. The responses vary according to the species, form of the metal, and environmental conditions.
