Abstract: The length-weight relationship is an important tool to assess the dynamics of population structure. The present study aimed to evaluate possible seasonal variations in the length-weight relationship in five species of Sciaenidae (Stellifer rastrifer, Stellifer brasiliensis, Stellifer stellifer, Paralonchurus brasiliensis and Isopisthus parvipinnis) in Santos Bay - São Paulo, Brazil. Using covariance analysis, seasonal differences were identified in four species evaluated, with estuarine dynamics and biological factors related to ontogeny and reproduction being the possible causes of the observed differences.
