Abstract

Studies on the weight-length relationship are essential for understanding the life cycle of several populations. The present study aimed to evaluate seasonal variations in the weight-growth relationship in 12 species of demersal-pelagic fish on the shelf adjacent to Santos Bay-SP. Through covariance analysis, seasonal differences were identified in nine species evaluated, with coastal dynamics and ontogeny being the possible causes of the observed differences.
