Abstract
The obligation of health insurance companies to cover cannabidiol-based medications has sparked judicial controversies. Methodology: Analysis of precedents from the Superior Court of Justice, with an emphasis on rulings from the Third Chamber, focusing on the interpretation of applicable laws and jurisprudential evolution. Results: Recent decisions by the Third Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice show divergences regarding the obligation of health insurance companies to cover cannabidiol-based medications. Conclusion: The Superior Court of Justice's jurisprudence on this issue is still not unanimous, reflecting the complexity of the matter and the need for clearer uniformity on the coverage of cannabidiol-based medications by health plans.
