Abstract
The objective of this research is to analyze the environmental and legal challenges associated with space tourism, identifying the controversial aspects of its development within the framework of global and space governance, and assessing the potential environmental and legal risks and impacts. The methodology employed is bibliographic in nature, grounded in a comprehensive review and analysis of academic and scientific literature. The findings reveal that space tourism faces significant environmental and legal challenges, considering the numerous potential impacts of this activity both in space and on Earth. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for the creation of environmental policies and international treaties, through global cooperation, to prevent and mitigate the impacts of space tourism, ensuring that exploration is conducted in a sustainable and responsible manner.
