Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the application of Regulatory Standard NR 17, which deals with ergonomics and safety at work, applied to women's work activities, demonstrating that the universe of work is designed and developed for men, including equipment, machinery and organization of spaces, all elements adapting to the male anatomical pattern, leading women to greater risk exposure, causing illness, stress, absences and even early retirement, giving rise to action by employers to include female measures for structuring work spaces, since this is a profile that occupies all types of jobs.
