Abstract
Brazil has stood out in welcoming refugees, especially from Venezuela, Syria, and Congo. However, the public health infrastructure faces challenges in meeting the needs of this population. Brazilian NGOs such as IMDH, Caritas Arquidiocesana de São Paulo, and Missão Paz play a crucial role in mitigating these difficulties by providing medical, psychological, and social assistance. This article analyzes the practices of these NGOs and the challenges they face, such as funding and integration with SUS, highlighting the importance of effective public policies for the sustainability of these services.
