Efficiency and Cost Reduction in Performing Hydrostatic Testing with a Portable Hydraulic Unit
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study proposes the use of a portable hydraulic unit for performing hydrostatic tests on high-pressure systems, in accordance with NBR 15986. The equipment, which uses a Haskel hydropneumatic pump capable of reaching pressures up to 60,000 PSI, allows tests to be conducted directly at the installation site, eliminating the need for transportation and significantly reducing costs and timelines. Tests conducted on an oil extraction platform demonstrated a reduction in total time from 30 to 2 days, with immediate analysis of results through specialized software. The research highlights the efficiency of the portable system and suggests further investigations into potential microstructural changes in the tested pipelines.
