Proposal for increasing payload capacity in cryogenic air gases trailers
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study analyzes the operational efficiency and economic impact of adopting four-axle cryogenic trailers for air gases transportation. The methodology involved comparing theoretical and actual transported volumes, with cost analysis before and after implementing the new trailers. Results indicate savings of R$ 1.66 million, validating the project's feasibility. Besides financial gains, the new trailers showed technical and operational improvements, such as better maneuverability and superior thermal performance, reducing product loss by evaporation. This study contributes to academic literature and the logistics sector by highlighting fleet optimization as a fundamental strategy for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
