Swift Cup Test

Abstract

In the work in question, a literature review was proposed in order to address the cup drawing process in steel, with the objective of performing the "Swift Cup Test." This test aimed to determine the LDR (Limiting Drawing Ratio), employing the best methods to achieve excellent final results. The drawing process is certainly the most widely used method for solving the challenges of mass production of metal parts. The use of this method is due to the growing need for standardized and serialized parts, which can be applied in numerous industrial areas.
To understand the drawing process, it is necessary to consider the various variables involved, such as the existing stamping processes, the types of presses that can be used, the components of a tool, among others. This study was carried out through consultations with existing literature, especially regarding the theoretical foundation and the development of methods.
