Self-irrigation in Air Conditioning Systems
Main Article Content
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to demonstrate how the condensate water from the evaporator of air conditioning systems can be reused to assist in cooling the condenser, potentially increasing the system’s coefficient of performance (COP) by up to 22%. The representation is made using the Mollier diagram. This paper also presents how the proposed design can be practically implemented, promoting the conscious and efficient reuse of water, improving equipment operating conditions, saving energy, reducing compressor workload, and enhancing heat exchange by utilizing the drainage water that is commonly wasted in most air conditioning systems.
