Abstract

Environmental preservation has increasingly been the focus of debates on the most appropriate conduct to mitigate the impacts that industrial, commercial and even residential activities can cause on the environment. Mainly with the concern to meet the Sustainable Development goals to be achieved by 2030. This work presents an analysis of the increase in the generation of MSW in the Southeast Region, with a focus on the State of São Paulo in the last ten years. It is believed that this increase is due to economic and social development, important factors in this process. For this work, theoretical research was carried out through the selection of studies published in scientific articles related to the area of the Environment.
