Abstract
A few years after the creation of personal computers and the internet it was possible to witness a revolution in human behavior. In recent years, technologies that encompass engineering, automation and information technology have been combined to produce so-called intelligent devices, which optimize resources, reduce waste and make people's lives easier. However, along with this technological leap, ethical, economical and legal conflicts are embedded, which can create obstacles to improvement or people's living conditions. In this work, some of these conflicts and their impacts on the implementation of smart cities and smart grids were discussed.
