Main Article Content

Abstract

We performed a systematic literature review of studies on environmental perception in Brazilian schools published in “Portal de Periódicos CAPES” between 2002 and 2022. We analyzed the main characteristics of the 50 papers selected in the search. Most studies were carried out in elementary schools (62%), involving students (95.4%), teachers and school officials. The works were carried out using different instruments of data collection and thematic approaches. Most of the studies had theoretical character (76%). Of the practical studies, only a few of them (30%) carried out environmental awareness activities, lacking a transdisciplinary approach.
