Abstract

This study explores the influence of competitive swimming on life after an athletic career, analyzing how experiences in high-performance sports impact personal development, professional choices, and identity reconstruction. Through a qualitative approach, the research highlights the skills, values, and challenges athletes face during the transition from sports to civilian life, emphasizing the long-term effects of competitive swimming beyond the pool.
