Abstract

This research deals with the relationship between playfulness and the teaching-learning process of mathematics in Early Childhood Education, a topic that falls within the field of Education. The objective is to understand the different ways of approaching mathematical concepts for children in Early Childhood Education aged 4 and 5, through play. It is a bibliographical research based on the concepts of Friedrich Froebel and Jean Piaget. The initial hypothesis was confirmed: the teaching approach through play contributes to the learning of mathematical concepts such as number acquisition, sequencing, language, among others.
