Abstract
The aim of this study was to identify the profile of teachers towards the use of media in teaching and learning. Trying to understand the vision and experience of teachers so multidisciplinary about the use of such tools in teaching, drawing a comparison chart on the vision teacher in the levels of secondary and higher education. We performed a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the impacts of the use
of digital media convergence by faculty from different areas of knowledge and levels of education. The sample universe was formed by a group of teachers at a public school high school in the city of Guarujá and another group consisting of teachers of private universities Santos. The methodology for quantitative analysis of data collected by questionnaires obtained evaluative closed and the results were measured, compared and analyzed. The results identified several differences between teachers of different educational levels, among them the greatest difficulties in the use of media technologies and radio by teachers of high school teachers in relation to higher education, the provision of media education institutions which were part of the respondents, demonstrating that both institutions school of Higher Education as teachers already offer different media tools to assist in the processes of teaching and learning, among other results.
