Abstract
Environmental Education implemented in educational institutions creates environmental awareness in the school community. Education committed to socio-environmental reality is a social practice that requires a set of intentional actions in favor of sustainability; and one of its purposes is to contribute to the humanization and emancipation of man and to the formation of critical citizens. It is necessary, through research where such work is desired, to diagnose, through a methodology that best suits the moment, the environmental perception of the people who will be involved in this action of change. Thus, this study aimed to perform an environmental diagnosis of students from a State High School, located in the city of Praia Grande - São Paulo, for the application of environmental management concepts aimed at improving the environmental and social performance of the school. It was found that the best performance per theme was in mobility and the least satisfactory per theme was biodiversity.
