Abstract
This article reports on the importance of the technical visit in shaping the architect's professional profile. This extramural activity at the college has been taking place since 2015 with students in the sixth semester of the Construction Planning discipline at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at Santa Cecília University – FAUUSC. The experience has demonstrated in a positive way how students add knowledge by experiencing in situ the teachings given in the classroom. In this activity, in addition to the requirements in disciplinary, behavioral, sensory and ethical aspects, practical contents are addressed and clarified, transmitting subjects linked to worker and construction safety standards, professional technical responsibility, documents and graphic pieces necessary for approval of the design and construction of the work, up to the architect's duties at the sales stand and the architectural professional's qualifications relating to the presentation of the project product (physical model, decorated plans and 3D images) and interior architecture with a visit to the decorated model. In a more empirical view, students learn theoretical teachings in a more contextualized way through observations and experiences.
