Preservation and conservation of private collections on paper in the domestic environment Márcia Campos dos Santos

Abstract

This work addresses topics related to the conservation of private collections on paper existing in domestic environments, such as documents, books, maps, photographs, drawings, collections, and periodicals. In order to preserve the stories and emotional memories present in these private collections, methodologies based on the "Preventive Conservation Plan" used in museum institutions are applied. Adapted actions for cleaning and specific packaging are indicated for each type of artifact, aiming to ensure their long-term preservation in private collections.
