Abstract

Planned cities are those that are based on an urbanization plan, often drawn up by urban planners, who seek to ensure that cities are developed in a transparent, organized, safe and sustainable manner, through the analysis of data on their physical, social and cultural characteristics, as well as their interaction with the environment and territory. Currently, more than 54% of the world's population lives in cities, supporting the forecast of reaching the 60% mark by 2030, occupying a crucial role in the global sustainable development agenda. Thus, this work investigated how urban planning can become a tool for structuring sustainable cities, through a reflection on the role of using technology tools aimed at sustainable organization and cohesion of elements and trends in collaborative management, thus contributing to the scientific development of the area of urban planning.
