Abstract

This study analyzes the use of Non-Violent Communication (NCV) in mediating conflicts in family relationships, helping to improve these interpersonal relationships between spouses and their children. This work was carried out through bibliographical research, as well as using Psychodrama, a therapeutic approach to represent real-life events and situations, demonstrating how the application of the CNV approach can allow them to reveal and explore conflict situations, and at the same time identify, in a collaborative way, the relationship between husband and wife, as well as parents and children, is reestablished. After the analysis processed in the light of the bibliographic studies observed, it allows us to glimpse family trajectories marked by different structural paradigms, which reflect points of tension in the relationship between spouses and also reflections of this tension on the psychological health of the children. These permeate the conceptions of accountability in the roles of these subjects in educational terms, in family organization, and use of time and spaces, in divergent ways. It is concluded that communication that presupposes interactivity, dialogue, and the participation of everyone is indispensable. In this sense, the need for dialogue as a strengthening element of relationships. Thus, the CNV approach proves to be an efficient tool for promoting the dialogues necessary to treat tension points, resolve conflicts and strengthen respectful attitudes and refined treatment in family relationships.
