Abstract

This article analyzes the U.S. TV show South Park, specifically the episode Crème Fraiche. The history spoofs the fetish surrounding the role of celebrity chefs on television cooking programs. Based on this plot, we seek to unveil the iconophagy that gives the media for this latest category of celebrities , as authority, to invite the viewer to the fantasy and modalities around the consumptions of meals and the culinary knowledge in the contemporary society.
