Abstract

Analyzing the history of port operations, the present work aims to present a view on the automation proposal for large equipment used in the operation, where it also aims to solve the historical problem of equipment operator absences, to reduce costs generated to the terminal from these withdrawals, reduce the periods when ships are left without operations due to shift changes, thus causing delays in operations.The expected results with the implementation of these projects within a port operator are improvements in the areas of business competitiveness, increased internal employee satisfaction and mainly tend to zero cases of absences due to lower back, shoulder and shoulder pain from working in a non-ergonomic position. In addition to the great operational evolution brought by the implementation of port automation, control logic and operational gains, productivity.
