Abstract
The Santos Port Complex, the largest port in Latin America and crucial to the Brazilian economy, faces sustainability challenges due to the need to balance economic development with environmental preservation. The article is justified by the intense concentration of trucks in the port area, which results in the accumulation of waste, threatening operational efficiency and causing negative impacts on the local environment.The aim of the article is to address the generation of waste by truck drivers in the Port of Santos, highlighting its environmental impacts and discussing strategies to improve the issue. The research involved reviewing secondary sources and collecting quantitative data.
