Abstract

It is known that transport is capable of promoting integration between different locations, moving local goods in different locations, which will be paid for and consumed in other regions, with the logistical factor being a key element in supply chain considerations and in movement of products and materials from one point to another. Due to globalization and the need to remain in international trade, the modes used for loading and unloading goods are being increasingly studied and modernized, giving rise to the main modes used and to all forms of global supply. This article was based on academic research that portrays the current modal system in Brazil, its advantages and disadvantages, as well as its importance.
