Abstract

Port modernization is essential to enhance efficiency and global competitiveness. Port Community Systems (PCS) have emerged as technological solutions that integrate communication among port stakeholders. This article presents a bibliometric review of the main benefits of PCS in international ports, based on the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Through a content analysis, thirteen benefits were identified, such as process improvement, efficient data use, collaboration, efficiency, and competitiveness. The study concludes that PCS brings significant benefits to port operations and highlights the most relevant journals, authors, and papers, in addition to suggesting topics for future research.
