Abstract

With food production becoming a critical and urgent concern, due to the gradual growth of the global population, changes in consumption patterns and the challenges imposed have been modifying the global business scenario in different spheres. Organizations are modifying their processes, seeking to integrate sustainability with the values of their respective organizational cultures, aiming to preserve natural resources and enhance the achievement of future needs. In this sense, the study is justified, given that Brazilian agribusiness is the driving segment of the economy, considering sustainability as one of its pillars and challenges. Therefore, the present study aims to use the gradual increase in movements in the agribusiness sector in the Port of Santos, to point out the trends in optimized management systems in maritime transport, given the need for an intelligent logistics chain, such as the Paperless Port system. To this end, the advanced Just-in-time sailing model, applied in ports, will be used as a reference, aiming to flow cargo with strategic efficiency, digitalization of processes and better predictability of the exact period for docking and undocking of ships. For this research we used a bibliographic review through books, theses, reports and official websites, applying qualitative and quantitative analysis.
