Abstract

The work has as main objective the analysis of the environmental conflicts that are caused by the dredging carried out in the Port of Santos and that has a direct impact on the relationship with the city. The dredging maintenance process has major impacts on the city of Santos and on the Praia do Góes located in Guarujá and here we will approach, based on research, the results of this maintenance. A quantitative survey was conducted with questions to the population in order to verify what the residents of the region know about port dredging and its impacts and whether they know the impacts that this service can cause for the whole city. Finally, the work addresses a delicate topic but of great importance for the growth and development of Porto and the surrounding cities.
