Abstract
In pursuit of a balance between environmental preservation and economic development, the promotion of sustainable transport emerges as a fundamental pillar for building a greener and more efficient future. In addition to providing services and infrastructure for mobility, sustainable forms of transport act as a transversal accelerator, as they optimize the connection between the different existing modes. Within this context, when analyzing port logistics, it is observed that it demonstrates an important role as one of the main means of cargo movement. Along with these observations, and after verifying, in the literature, the importance of a port infrastructure that represents gains in its competitiveness, as well as the lowest environmental impact for the country, this research allows to illustrate, in a bibliographical, exploratory and descriptive way, how the port complex of Santos, despite the current challenges aimed at planning its expansion, plays a significant function in the integration between its stakeholders and logistics agents, just as the promotion of local economic capital; this study highlights how the dry connection between the cities of Santos and Guarujá could leverage the socioeconomic and ecological interests of the region.
