Abstract

The objective of this work was to analyze the influence of the cutting direction of the test specimens in the determination of the coefficient of anisotropy through the use of techniques of statistical treatment of data collected from tests on specimens taken in the transverse and longitudinal directions of plates aluminum. The assays were governed by ASTM E646 e ASTM E517, and the treatment of the results was performed using the t-student spreadsheets and Kaplan's Weibull analysis. After these steps the results were discussed, where the similarity and dissimilarity of the bodies were verified.
