Abstract
InfraRed sensors are sensitive to infrared rays and are widely used for motion detection. In this article we propose the acquisition of data and post processing digitally from a passive infrared sensor (PIR) with analog output. The use of an analog digital converter with over-sampling, a programmable gain amplifier associated with a good sampling speed make it possible to acquire the signal. As post processing a digital bandpass filter was implemented. The simulation results show that the digital filter implemented really eliminated the noise at the defined frequencies, leaving the signal ready for the motion detection algorithm.
